THE FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES THE EXTENSION OF ITS FREE REGISTRATION PERIOD UNTIL NOVEMBER 30 FOR MOUNTAIN, ADVENTURE AND NATURE SHORT FILMS
THE COMPETITION WILL HOLD ITS FIRST COMPETITIVE EDITION FROM FEBRUARY 20 TO 26 IN HUESCA AND WILL AWARD MORE THAN 6,000 EUROS IN PRIZES
The Pirineos Mountain Film Festival confirms that it extends its registration period until next November 30. Due to its recent conversion into a competitive festival and the presentation of its rules, the organization has decided to attend various requests and postpone the deadline to incorporate works that are in their final preparation stage.
The entry process of fiction, documentary and animation short films related with mountain, adventure or nature is free and can be done through the Festhome platform. The works must be produced after January 1, 2019 and should not exceed 30 minutes in length. Touristic or advertising works cannot take part in the contest.
The festival will give more than 6,000 euros in prizes between seven awards: Best Short Film Award (3,000 euros), Best Adventure and Sports Short Film Award (1,500 euros), Best Culture and Nature Short Film Award (1,500 euros ), Award for Best Animated Short Film (trophy awarded by the town of Benasque), Award for Best Screenplay (trophy awarded by the town of Jaca), Audience Award (trophy awarded by the town of Boltaña) and Award for Best Ibero-American Short Film (trophy awarded by the town of Barbastro).
The Pirineos Mountain Film Festival is organized by the Huesca International Film Festival Foundation with the support of the Huesca Provincial Council, the Huesca City Council, the Government of Aragon, TuHuesca, Aramón, the Fundación Joven del Consejo Superior de Deportes, the Instituto Aragonés de la Mujer and Peña Guara as organizer of sports activities in Huesca.
