This short film explores the woods and wild animals of the Quattro Province Apennine in north-western Italy. As humans abandoned these mountains, nature reclaimed its territory: beeches overtook pastures, while hornbeams and oaks thrived in previously inaccessible areas. The now untamed chestnut woods are home to pine martens and wildcats. What may appear chaotic and lifeless to the untrained eye actually shelters a new generation of badgers, foxes, and wolves, learning survival skills passed down by their parents.
